Taking the next step into MSE Corrosion

OLI invites you to take the next step with us into MSE corrosion, by joining with OLI and other clients in the CSPV consortium.

In CSPV, OLI will join together its two major technology paths: OLI corrosion simulation technology and OLI mixed solvent electrolyte technology. The resulting quantum leap will be the development of the mixed solvent corrosion module, a model that will be able to predict electrolyte corrosion effects for systems whose behavior may or may not be dominated by water.

The consortium effort will address modeling challenges that go beyond the phenomena that can be currently simulated. This will include the effects of nonaqueous or water-depleted environments on passivity, effects of salt film formation and the dependence of electrochemical processes on solvent environment. While the changes and challenges are extensive, the resulting new corrosion simulation capabilities will also be extensive. The model will be able to address concentrated acids, systems related to gas processing, systems related to CO2-dominated environments, organics and mixed organic systems, and various “oil and gas” mixed solvent systems such as HF, amines, glycols and methanol in conjunction with acid gases and ionic components

In the CSP V consortium, OLI offers a 3-year development cycle where industry partners can help specify the first systems that OLI will investigate and implement in this new model. OLI receives the invaluable help of industry steering and review, along with funding. As one of our partners, you will receive a chance to specify the development you need, early access to your priority systems, using a leveraged investment strategy whether other companies share the cost of development.

Available for your review are documents that describe the project vision, a summary of prior CSP consortium accomplishments, a summary of business terms, and a sample contract

Technology Partner Week We will hold a meeting for this consortium on 18 October 2011 in NJ USA as part of OLI’s Technology Partner Week. All interested clients are encouraged to attend this meeting.
