Normally, when using this strip planking technique, if the wood is curving and twisting too much you generally start planking from a different place, for example, the bottom of the hull. Here, we are going to use a different technique of installing a ‘stealer’ plank. This is done by allowing the next plank to go where it wants to. In this case it separates from the preceding plank leaving a big tapered gap. The stealer plank will fill this gap. |
