The standing rigging is responsible for supporting the masts, bowsprit and jibboom.  There are many different size ropes that are used but scaled down we'll just be using 5 different sizes - (left to right) 3/32", lots of 1/8", 3/16", lots of 1/4" and a very little bit of 5/16".  The 2 smaller sizes are single braided and the 3 larger sizes are double braided meaning there is a braided core.  They have all been dyed black, some more successfully than others, to simulate weathering and tarring.
