The bowsprit is shipped and deadeyes have been attached to the cap.  The deadeyes have been screwed and glued onto the same brass rod used on the topmast shrouds.  Only here, rather than being secured with the radiator clamps,  Threads are cut in the other end of the rod also and it is passed through a hole in the cap so that nuts can be screwed on the end.
