The jibboom can rotate up and back to allow the masts to rotate down without removing the stays that will run from the foremast to the jibboom.  All that is required is unscrewing the turnbuckles that tighten the two cables under the jibboom as well as unscrewing the bolt that holds the dolphin striker to the bowsprit.
